In a prominent position of the city, an area in front of the Sea, the Mayor Hall was designed so as the exterior elevation interacts with the simple rhythmic facades that organize the ridge of town’s Castle, while referring to a calm boat ashore. Instead, the back elevation is related with the small-scale buildings that surround it. In the interior, that is protected from the winds and consists the building body, the reception hall opens to the large auditorium of the mansion. This atrium is an extension of the closed spaces of the building. The indoor corridors are not only simply areas of distribution to the offices, but also they have the character of lounges, meetings areas and additional the corridors can be used as exhibition spaces.
The study won the Second Prize in the relevant architectural competition.
