This is a different type of store for the Greek reality, having selected heterogeneous objects, with an unclear and without restrictions content. The goal was to maximize the store’s capacity, both for display and storage, but also for the best promotion of these heterogeneous objects.
The main idea of the design based on an aircraft’s interior, where -apart from maximizing the capacity- there are also seats that can be modified, are individually lit and actually host heterogeneous individuals. Result of the design was the “craft” that took the name “Omnia”, set on the ground floor of the building on Xanthou Street that designed by Nikos Valsamakis in 1956. Visible steel sheets were used for the internal linings with special treatment to preserve their natural color.
